Now Available at Russell's Gems!

Woof Bark earrings now available at Russell's Gems, Hallowell, Maine.  The "Jewel of the Kennebec" specializes in Maine tourmaline, and offer stone cutting and re-cutting.  A fine jewelry store with a large stock of loose cut stones as well as beautifully set stones, and now they also carry a large selection of Maine birch bark earrings!

Historic Hallowell, situated along the Kennebec River, was once the hub of commerce in the State of Maine.  Maine's first automobile even came from Hallowell.  The city has retained all its historic charm which can be seen in the buildings, mansions, and brick sidewalks.   Today, Maine's littlest city is home to many antique shops, gift shops, fine eating establishments, my favorite of which is The Liberal Cup with their own brewery.  Every year my family and I attend Old Hallowell Day in Mid-July for thier phenominal fireworks show. And we also enjoy Vaughn's Woods (a.k.a. Hobbit Land) for its beautiful walking trails and stone footbridges.  Here is a photo I took last fall at Hobbit Land.

Handmade Earring Card Displays

My own handmade earring display racks!  I needed a nice way to showcase my earrings when showing them to shop owners, as well as displaying the earrings for sale at stores where I have them on consignment.

Since I'm no carpenter, I used a picture frame to start with, and after removing the glass and back, I drilled holes in the sides for dowels.  Cut, painted, and mounted the dowels, and used a piece of felt for the backer.  I made two designs, one that hangs on the wall like a picture frame would, and the other is a double (or triple) frame that stands freely on a counter or table top.

My favorite part about them is that you can load the double free-standing frame up with earrings and then close it.  When you get to the shop you can simply open the frame up and your jewelry is all still beautifully in place.

I have them for sale here if you are a fellow jewelry artist looking for just such a solution!  Each frame section measures 11 1/2 inches tall by 9 1/2 inches wide by 3/4 inch deep and will hold 9 earring cards that measure 2 inches wide by 3 inches tall.

A professional-looking solution for jewelry artists selling their earrings on consignment, at retail locations, or at craft shows. Store owners cramped for space will still have space for your earrings when they hang right on the wall!
